I have six years of clinical experience in residential addiction treatment at Regional Addiction Prevention Inc. (RAP Inc). RAP Inc. is a residential treatment program with an Afrocentric therapeuticcommunity model for addiction treatment. I have provided biopsychosocial assessments, oversight of treatment team meetings, chart reviews, group supervision, family therapy, individual psychotherapy, group work, and crisis intervention.

I have over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents and families. Some of this experience comes from the past five years at Edmund Burke School (EBS). EBS is an independent school in the Washington DC area for middle and high school students. I have provided individual and family counseling, referrals for psychological testing, psychiatric evaluation, and long term counseling, and consultation with parents and faculty.

HIV/AIDS Mental Health Support

Providing Individual and Group therapy

I have five years of work experience at the Whitman Walker Clinic, a community based HIV/AIDS clinic providing primary medical care; HIV testing and counseling; dental services; day treatment; case management; mental health; and addictions treatment services. I provided psychotherapy to all assigned clients, including but not limited to: individual/family/group/couples infected and affected by HIV virus in the Metropolitan Area. Assessed and processed intake of mental health clients. Provided comprehensive mental health reports, referrals, and developed treatment plans.
